Tuesday Nite Open Mic at the Uptown Pub

Like having a bunch of friends over for a huge jam session in the living room, open mic at the Uptown Pub is a big draw in Port Townsend. Not only is it bringing in some of the most amazing local talent, it’s bringing in folks from all over the place - some saying, “This is the best open mic I’ve been to in the country!”.

The sense of community is profound, as local artists, some who are just getting their feet wet with the stage, and others who are seasoned performers all come together for a nite of musical fun.

After a few opening songs, the host introduces the first act. Applauded to the stage with a warm “Uptown Welcome”, local and touring musicians – many of them world class, bring their magic to the stage...then another…and another. The night is full of great music, a bit of comedy, (the occasional train wreck) poetry, and the occasional mind-blowing African drum groove.

For locals, it’s a great way to spend your Tuesday nights with some good friends and good conversation. If you’re just visiting, it’s the perfect way to get a taste for the local music scene and hang out with some of the brightest stars in the Northwest. So when Tuesday rolls around, rock on up to the Uptown pub!
